Dream Catchers have been traced back to the Ojibway Tribes of the Desert Southwest.  It is said that the Grandmothers created these beautiful works of weaving to assuage young children's fears of the night.  The tradition quickly spread through the Native Tribes.

Legend of the Dream Catchers

The Native Americans of the Great Plains believe that the air is filled with both good and bad dreams.  Historically the Dream Catchers were hung in the tee pee or lodge, and also on a baby's cradle board.  Legend has it that the good dreams pass through the center hole and slide down the feathers to the sleeping person.  The bad dreams are trapped in the web, where they perish in the light of dawn.   Follow your dreams!
